Video Privacy and Safeguarding

Questions to agree before cricket coaching footage is recorded.

Cricket coaching video should have a clear, limited purpose. Before recording, players and parents should understand who will capture the footage, how it will be used, stored, shared and deleted. Junior footage should not be published or used for marketing without separate informed permission.

Questions for players and parents to agree before cricket coaching video is recorded, stored, shared or used for technical feedback. Contact Freddie Issitt at 07476 433560 for private cricket coaching information in North London.

When should video be used?

Video should have a clear coaching purpose and use only the footage needed to understand a movement. It is a feedback tool, not a medical diagnosis or a guarantee of improvement.

Consent for junior players

A parent or guardian should understand and agree when junior footage will be captured, what it will show, who can see it, whether it will be shared and when it will be deleted. A child or parent should be able to raise a concern without pressure.

Confirm the handling arrangements

Before recording, ask which device will be used, whether cloud backup is enabled, how clips will be transferred, how long they will be retained and how deletion can be requested. Do not publish or use footage for marketing without separate, informed permission.
