Who are the sessions for?
Private coaching can support a first experience of cricket, a return after school or university, preparation for a new club season or focused technical development. The session starts from the player's current level rather than assuming a particular background.
What can a session cover?
- Batting setup, contact, scoring options and confidence against pace or spin
- A repeatable pace- or spin-bowling action and improved target control
- Catching, throwing and movement for match situations
- Wicketkeeping footwork and glovework
- Understanding net routines and preparing to join a team
New players can read what happens in a beginner lesson. Returning players may also find the adult coaching guide useful.
A supportive route into club cricket
Private sessions can build enough familiarity to make a first group net feel less intimidating. Coaching cannot choose a club or guarantee team selection, but it can help a player understand her current strengths and the next skills to practise.
